The 2nd One Health Forum will take place this year on Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025, at the Amphitheater Hall of the War Museum (Vasilissis Sofias Avenue and Rizari 2-4, Athens), where the official presentation of the Mediterranean One Health Innovation Center (MED-OHC) will be held.

The event will be attended by scientists from Greece and abroad, university faculty, representatives of political and local authorities, scientific and educational institutions, and more.
MED-OHC is the result of a collaboration between the public and private sectors, aiming to address regional One Health challenges in the Mediterranean region through innovative actions and with the support of all involved scientific bodies and institutions.

The Mediterranean One Health Innovation Center is based in Athens and is a collaboration between two entities: “Asclepius – One Health,” an International Organization for One Health, and ELGO – DIMITRA, the National Research Body of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food.

One Health is based on the interdisciplinary understanding that human health, animal health, and environmental health are interconnected and interdependent.
The health of one affects the health of all.

“At MED-OHC, we envision and implement One Health as a collective global strategy for understanding and managing risks to the planet’s health, promoting and achieving a sustainable balance within the ecosystem,” says Eleni Pavlidou, DVM, MBA, President of the Mediterranean One Health Innovation Center.

She adds that, “Our goal is to create the most credible Scientific Reference and Innovation Development Center for One Health for humans, animals, and the environment in the Mediterranean basin. Through this, we aim to promote and develop expertise, scientific tools, services, and collaborative actions that will protect animals and humans from new pandemics and enhance the well-being of all of us in a sustainable environment.”
